Previously, Marisa was an Interactive Account Supervisor at TBWA\Chiat\Day where developed the digital strategy for national online media campaigns for Nissan North America.Marisa brings a comprehensive background in the knowledge of digital marketing. She has an insatiable appetite for social media, digital PR, online advertising, website development, CRM, mobile and emerging tech. Her key strengths are vision/strategy and creative thinking, written and verbal communication skills, client relations and service, productivity and proficiency and problem solving. A college professor once described Marisa as, “humble, yet tenacious,” which has evolved into her professional mantra.
Marisa graduated with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Interactive Media and the Culture of New Technologies from the University of Southern California. She was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, Dean’s List, Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), Gamma Sigma Alpha (national Greek academic honor society) and Lambda Pi Eta (national journalism academic honor society).
Philanthropy and volunteerism rank high on Marisa’s priority list. Most recently, she became a member of the Los Angeles Jewish Federation’s Serving the Vulnerable Committee and helps to weave together a web of social services to care for people in need in the Jewish and general communities. Last year, Marisa was chosen as one of 13 fellows to participate in the 2009 Geller Leadership Project, a year-long philanthropic leadership program with the Los Angeles Jewish Federation. In addition, Marisa is involved in the USC Annenberg School for Communications & Journalism Mentor Program where for the third year in a row, she mentors current college students, providing resume and interviewing tips, career advice and networking opportunities. She also is a member of the USC Jewish Alumni Association and the Los Angeles Jewish Federation’s Young Leadership Division and Ben Gurion Society.
A native of Southern California, Marisa grew up in Palm Desert and currently resides in West Los Angeles. A foodie at heart, Marisa enjoys indulging in LA restaurants as well as cooking up a storm at home. She can usually be found hitting the slopes, going to yoga, traveling, wine tasting, golfing, watching LOST and 24, spending time with family and friends and enjoying all that LA has to offer.
